Strip Clubs Won't Reopen Anytime Soon: Adult Entertainers Granted Relief
*All over social media strippers are understandably losing their minds due to their inability to keep up with bills as they relied solely on cash and, until now, didn't have much luck with unemployment; many did have positive results filing their taxes for 2019. There's no guaranteed return if the IRS doesn't have 2018 returns to go on if this year's forms are behind. That doesn't mean people shouldn't try. Turbo Tax has an app and it takes you through every step of IRS form 1099misc and W2. Most of the time it goes through. With the 1099misc you may have to print and mail the form to a specific address, found on the top right side of the form and on the second page. This is only because they may need more information if you didn't file for 2018; none of this means there won't be a return with a stimulus added. There is indeed a financial reprieve for adult entertainers now.
*SBA has been updated to include self-employed adult entertainers in need of assistance. Information can be found on www.ieauunion.com. Holding to the hope that you'll be back at work anytime soon is futile and will only make this current predicament add to any depression and anxiety; or trigger some sort of mental illness, even PTSD. It's a difficult pill to swallow but we're REALISTICALLY looking at a 12 to 18 month quarantine. The problem is partly that people are taking this TOO LIGHTLY! Working with the general public is dangerous right now and stores have taped the floor to keep people about 6 ft apart. Masks are no longer available for anyone other than healthcare professionals and a select few others. Pharmacies and medical supply stores no longer carry them, which has endangered the public more.
*Testing is very expensive and not available to most, hence the need to stay home. This is the REALITY of the situation. There's no immunity against Covid-19, no inoculation and definitely no vaccine. Death rates are high and not getting any smaller. The current death rate is only an estimation based on known cases. The media has already put out a warning for the public to plan for mail-in voting in November. This entire situation is grim, at best. We're absolutely on our way to another great depression, possibly worse than the last. Some have a theory that population control is upon us. Nothing is done for lower-middle class people and certainly not those in poverty. Those who take no precautions are putting themselves and everyone around them at risk. There are no two ways about it.
*Plan on being inside for at least a year, and stop putting people at risk. MANY are suffering the same, if not worse than sex workers; please understand that EVERYONE IN THE WORLD IS SUFFERING RIGHT NOW! Rather than hoping for something that is definitely not within the realm of possibility, do your part and stay in; we ALL have to find ways to keep our minds busy. Mental Health is the first thing to go. You NEED TO ACCEPT REALITY so you don't literally drive yourself insane.
*Everyone in the ENTIRE WORLD has to do the same. Socialist countries, like Canada and Germany aren't going to crumble as fast as the United States will. Now might be a good time to educate yourselves and think hard about whom to vote for, especially state reps and congress. Change that and things will begin to shift. In the meantime, stay HOME, see if there are any food pantries and prepare for a STRUGGLE. Denial only prolongs the inevitable. We are all going to be trying not to lose our minds.
***PREPARE FOR THE WORST, HOPE FOR THE BEST AND EXPECT SOMETHING IN BETWEEN***
