Fighting for Rights: Now Strippers are Arguing- Also, THERE'S ONLY ONE STRIPPER UNION!!
*There's a lot going on in the adult industry and it's frustrating to watch! My JOB is to stay on top of social media and industry news. Lawmakers, strippers and especially clubs are over suing.. For most it just ends in a settlement and nobody ever knows it happened. DejaVu was sued and that obviously made news, but there was confusion in the dance industry..
*Dancers were under the impression that California laws were all about them when Dynamex was everywhere. Somehow blind to the fact that THEIR attorney had sued Starbucks, Amazon now Lyft and Uber. The news is chock full of news about "gig workers".. It took a very long time to break through to CA dancers. They all thought DejaVu forced the other clubs to reclassify dancers as employees..
*For TWO WHOLE YEARS I've been saying all of this.. And a very influential dancer group that turned their nose up at the dancer union have taken everything they were told and YELLED AT ME FOR, and plastered it on their website except THERE'S ONE PART THAT'S WRONG! Ironically I used to think otherwise but MANY STATES HAVE CLUBS THAT CAN'T PAY DANCERS!! Dancers have been BEGGING to get rid of schedules..
*NO.. STRIPPERS WERE NEVER SUPPOSED TO BE EMPLOYEES! THEY'RE EMPLOYEES BECAUSE THEY WERE MISLABELED AND THEY NEVER ASKED FOR ANY OF IT!!
*I'm a LEGITIMATE US Dept of Labor union officer. THERE IS NO OTHER STRIPPER UNION AND "FAKE" UNIONS ARE ILLEGAL!! Unless the DOL APPROVES YOUR GROUP TO FUNCTION AS A UNION, YOU'RE NOT A UNION AND MAY NOT EVER PERFORM UNION FUNCTIONS!

So whatever it takes, if it means the club haa to remain open FOR THEM, then no, I won't agree to their inevitable demise! THIS IS STATE BY STATE!! In Iowa EVERYWHERE is BYOB, slow and couldn't pay dancers if they wanted to! Such a notion, IN A RIGHT TO WORK STATE, will DESTROY all IA clubs. Not maybe.. 100% GUARANTEE!
*It is NOT for the government to tell strippers what to do.. Many clubs offer both employee applications and contractor agreements. They've proven very successful. I realized I was controlled by FEAR! Fear of losing my job. Fear of fines I can't afford. So I was never late and alway worked. When clubs FORCE labor, take more than half your money IT'S HARD TO MOVE ON!! They DGAF about YOU! All those "here's a great way to make more" suggestions or rules were purely for the club. THEY ONLY GOT AWAY WITH IT BECAUSE OF MISLABELING!
*Contractors have made it very clear they're DONE being patronizined.. STOP MAKING THEM FEEL LIKE SHIT! "You have no rights" BULLSHIT! Actually, LEGAL and legitimate contractors have MORE rights than those who are practically trafficked and don't know it.. When a manager says you either follow through with a sexual act or give the money back and you're fired, THAT'S TRAFFICKING! Taking money to "look the other way" trafficking! Solicitation charge for the dancer.
*Employee status will NOT change that. No club will give dancers enough hours to be eligible for benefits so DON'T PUSH THEM IN A CORNER!! My goal has ALWAYS been to tell the truth... For YEARS I've been a broken record and nobody listened. A dancer group literally took credit for my work by saying they thought it was just CA but it's everywhere..

That aspect is the key and it's GONE! It's not cool to keep pushing.. Well, now nobody's working and a company is being helped and fixed by people who KNOW the business. Being a dancer for a decade doesn't mean you're qualified to do shit about clubs!

Yeah I wouldn't have a problem with the pay if they didn't try to force us to work 7 hours without a break charging $20-$50up front and then taking 60% of our income. If we're gonna be IC's, let us be IC's!!!!
