How girls who do extras are hurting all strippers.. And my advice to you.

First off, this is NOT IN ANY WAY RELATED TO SEX WORK OTHER THAN STRIPPING!! I love all my sex worker sisters and I'm not bashing escorts. Escorts are NOT strippers who do extras inside a club. If you do both, just keep it outside the club. So to all my sex worker sisters, this is only meant to educate strippers as to how they're damaging our industry by doing extras inside a club.

Imagine you're a stripper and in desperate need of extra cash; what do you do? There's always the option of picking up an extra shift but maybe you don't have time. Business is slow and you're about to lose your apartment. You and your two kids won't have a place to go. A customer offers you extra money if you allow him to finger your pu$$y or suck on your nipples. You do it because you feel you need to and your justification is that you're doing this for your kids. The customer then proceeds to offer you a decent amount of cash to meet him at a hotel after work. You're not entirely sure you want to, but you agree in case you decide that you do want to. You can simply not show up and forego the money. After all, it's a selfless act for the sake of your children, right? WRONG!!! It is 100% SELFISH! Here's why:

1) In most states having someone touch/lick/suck/kiss you in a strip club is illegal! It's a form of prostitution and can come with repercussions that will ruin your life depending on what state you live in.

2) The mere ACT of agreeing to meeting someone at a hotel and agreeing to a monetary exchange for sexual acts WILL get you arrested. I've seen girls get hauled out of clubs for simply agreeing to the situation. Money hadn't even exchanged hands yet.

3) Again, depending on where you're located and a club owner's ethics, the severity of your punishment ranges from a "warning" or getting fired to jail time. Police in some areas do stings. If you take the wrong undercover cop into VIP and tell him you'll let him finger you for extra cash, or you'll touch him for extra cash, may very well arrest you for solicitation of prostitution.

Here's how clubs and other strippers are affected by these actions.

1) If a stripper is caught soliciting customers inside a club and someone reports it, or a police officer is present, there's a good chance the city might close said club. Again, it varies state to state, city to city, club to club, etc. But why take the risk??

2) If you manage to get a club shut down you're not only hurting yourself. You're hurting 15, 30, maybe 100 other women! Your act of grabbing a customers d$&k in VIP left over 100 people with no place to work. Is that really something you want on your conscience?

3) Strippers who follow club rules can't pay their bills because of one or two girls who do extras, which 99% of us REFUSE to do! Rarely it'll lead to other girls feeling they have to do it to compete, but it has happened. More likely it'll be college students and other moms who can't pay tuition, bills, or take care of their kids the way they want/need to. Remember, there are A LOT of moms in this industry. So the "for my kids" excuse is definitely invalid. We'd all do anything for our children, except go to jail, and risk not seeing them for years! That leads to my next point;

How it affects your kids:

You THINK taking these risks is all for the greater good because you can keep your kids clothed and fed. But what if you get arrested? Where does that leave your kids? Potentially in foster care and it could be days, weeks, or even years! They really won't benefit from a mother who's in jail and being in foster care. Children need their parents, plain and simple. They won't benefit from any of this. If your entire club gets shut down and they get slapped with a hefty fine, there will be many children who suffer. Some girls can't just go work at another club for various reasons. It's very selfish because the actions of ONE person can affect 100 others in very negative ways. Just. Don't. Do. It!!!

How do you avoid having to resort to behavior that could potentially have very harmful effects, besides just NOT doing it?

1) DON'T SPEND ALL YOUR MONEY WHEN YOU HAVE IT!! I know it's fun to go shopping. New outfits. New shoes or purses. I'm a girl who loves shoes and purses; I get it. But having a roof over your head and food to eat is far more important than any Coach purse you might be coveting. Even put a set amount aside weekly. $100/week is really not that much but it will add up and probably save you during those 2 shitty weeks where you barely crack $100 in one shift. The weeks you can't put much aside. NEVER assume you'll make all the money you spent back. Chances are, you won't!

2) If it's gotten so awful that you've stopped making money altogether and are considering doing extras, or even escorting, then please do EVERYONE a favor and quit! At the very least, DON'T DO EXTRAS, AND NEVER USE A CLUB TO GET CLIENTS!! I understand that it's easier that way but it has dire consequences that, again, affect EVERYONE around you; not just you! As I said, it's not worth jail time or having everyone out of a job because you solicited the wrong customer. Spare yourself and everyone the heartache and KEEP IT AWAY FROM THE CLUB!! I cannot stress this enough. Other people, children, etc. will be HURT by something you thought was no big deal. Nothing wrong with being an escort but be respectful and figure out how to get clients in your own time. One girl can ruin a lot of lives. One girl doing these things can and WILL lead to men thinking they can solicit every girl, or start touching every girl. A lot of us HATE being touched and we do not want to be escorts. If we did, we wouldn't be stripping for a living. It's not for everyone, so please be respectful, and remember that you work in a strip club where rules/laws are heavily enforced. Don't ruin your life for a lousy $100 and definitely don't ruin 50 other people's lives. Do it on YOUR time! It's pretty simple, ladies. As always, be safe and love yourself. 💜
